More from the epic stash. I did this in black and white stripes in case I didn’t get around to it until the next challenge, but then it took less than an hour start to finish. Sewing knits with no lycra is so simple and I have enough of this fabric left to make a skirt to go with it, so that may be what shows up for the black and white challenge. Happy I’m finding some ways to sew even with my writing schedule!

Because my story involves a budding guitarist, I’ve been saturating myself in late ’90s and early 2000s alternative rock and punk. The other night I listened to the entire White Blood Cells by The White Stripes. Hence, the name of this tee and the red pants I’ve paired it with here. We took photos at Hawk Island Park on a windy but warm (67 degrees!) November Sunday. Forecast for Monday? Snow.

  1. Great little T. I’ve got to use up some of my knits this way. I love that it has a bit of a sleeve, without sewing one on.

  2. Awesome Erin great job. Love that album. The Strokes- This Is It is another brilliant album to saturate yourself in. This piece you’re writing sounds right up my alley. If you put it out there— online that is, let me know I’d l’ve to read it.

  3. You can’t go wrong with a simple t-shirt. Works every time.

  4. Cute shirt, can’t wait to see you make a skirt to go with it. Don’t you just love a good black and white outfit?
