The “It’s Time for a Tea Party” Costume

This year I did not have the time or energy to make myself an entire costume, so I decided to pull something out of the archives!  And clearly, I have blue on my mind these days – I just realized that my Alice costume is very similar in color to my Gala Gown (before some color editing!).  Which is why I have been missing so many challenges lately, by the way.

What I did have time for was making my little ‘Tino a matching outfit.  Yes, I am one of those people who dress their dog, and yes, he actually enjoys all the attention!

My first thought was the Cheshire Cat.  However, I did not have the proper supplies on hand, and no time to get to the fabric store.  So I made do with what was in the stash.  And what is Alice in Wonderland without the Mad Hatter?!

I ended up pulling out his Ricky Ricardo jacket to help finish the look.  And overall, I am very pleased with how it turned out, especially with the limited time I had.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

  1. Aww, Tino looks lovely!! I’ve only dressed my 50lb dog up a couple of times, but she too loves the attention. Not so much the clothes themselves, but all the attention, she loves that part :)

  2. I love the little jacket! No shame in dressing up dogs- we dressed up our Sheltie and she won a couple months worth of food, worth it in my book
