My “Viva Las Vegas” inspiration comes from celebrating our wedding anniversary with a Champagne Toast. I made this top specifically to go with the pants I made in a previous challenge.

The fabric is lightweight, very comfortable in hot weather and perfect Resort Wear. I embellished with a orange flower button to the front for a pop of color and green flower embroidery stitches around the bottom for an interesting detail.

The pattern was pretty straight froward, it is a Very Easy Vogue pattern but it’s a classic cut that could be paired with a lot of different looks. I’m really glad I made the shirt since I find myself often deciding to make another dress. It’s time to branch out – I may even try a skirt next.

So as the old saying kind of goes…what ever happens in Vegas stays in the Yucatan! Cheers.

  18. Just wanted to clarify that the photos are the terrace were taken at Sun Rise and not Sun Set. We did watch sunsets but not for the photos. I really have to thank my husband for working really hard to make these fantastic pictures. I’m not the most cooperative subject and often find myself not smiling when I could swear I was smiling when he gave directions.
