You may remember this pattern from my Andrew Wyeth shirt. This time around I did a shorter length and a shorter sleeve. Reusing the pattern meant it was free, the pattern pieces were already cut out, I had already made necessary adjustments, and I didn’t have to think as hard about individual steps.
The fabric is something my mother picked up at least 6 years ago at a garage sale. I took the photos in my new favorite spot in the house: the empty space left by the removal of an enormous 1911 Grinnell Bros. piano that has gone to a home where it will actually be played. This spot will not be empty for long. We have plans for new living room furniture. Can’t wait to give this room a face lift.

That’s a very pretty blouse, a great colour
Super cute shirt! I love the print, and your photos look great!
Looks lovely on you. The print is very cute.
Cute shirt! And hooray for free and easy!
I love this fabric you’ve chosen. Soft, casual, refined, I love it.
That shirt looks so crisp and professional….I definitely need to add some pieces like this to my wardrobe. Have fun with the room facelift!
I love making a pattern a second time, I feel so competent and successful! This shirt fits you beautifully. Looks like a great basic, and I agree with Tempest, I need more pieces like this myself.
Pink is positively lovely on you! I love your shirt and the floral fabric – very pretty :)
Oh, you are all too kind. ;) I’m sure this is truly one of the more boring projects we’ll see this week. :)
