Friends, this blouse pattern was an absolute delight! While Debi rocks out the pants from this pattern, I am working on rocking out the blouse. I’ve had this fabric in my stash for at least five years, and the pattern has been traveling with me for at least three. I decided it was time to combine the two, and I’m very pleased with the results! the stripes line up perfectly in the middle of the blouse, which is a nice added feature, and it’s actually very comfortable. I was a bit concerned about the pleating around the front midriff, but it’s not too bad. It’s different, which threw me off at first, but I’ve decided it’s not a bad different.
I don’t have a pair of high waisted pants to wear with this shirt (yet), but for the time being, I am pairing it with jeans. It’s still a bit chilly here in Chi-town, so the 3/4 sleeves are perfect for the office environment. I am definitely loving the look of the stripes as they are classy yet fun. The colors are green, hot pink, black, and red. It’s very 1941 rockstar, if you will.
I enjoyed this blouse so much that I got the giggles. This tends to happen when I really enjoy the outcome of a long awaited project :)
