This week’s challenge had me stumped! Having missed a few weeks challenges recently, I still wasn’t feeling particularly creative this week. So I needed something easy that would break my creative lull. This week I was inspired by the brush strokes of the impressionists and particularly the post impressionist artist Van Gogh, who incredibly only sold one painting during his lifetime!
Vincent Van Gogh – Starry Night
As luck would have it, I just happened to have something similar in my stash that reminded me of the distinctive brush strokes that Van Gogh uses in his paintings. I had a blue and white polyester (I think) knit that I picked up a while ago in the remnants bin. It’s the same dress pattern as my ‘Made this Look’ challenge but this time I had plenty of fabric left over for the waist tie.

Beautiful dress, love the fabric interpretation of the paint strokes.
Great inspiration and interpretation.
Looks just like the paint strokes, great idea.
