UFO: baby booties
What a great theme! Once I understood what “UFO” stood for, I immediately went into my sewing room to look for something. The problem I ran into? Which one do I choose to finish first. Ha! I ended up choosing baby booties for my niece since she will soon grow up and not be able to wear these. The pair that I started with is a 3-6 month old pattern. I love how bright and cheery the fabric is – and who doesn’t love big white plastic buttons?!
See below for details:
Fabric: Booties size 3-6 mo: Michael Miller Sanctuary for lining and outer fabric is currently unknown to me – see my post in the forum. I bought a fat quarter of it and have no idea who the designer is!
Pattern: Anna Maria Horner book Handmade Beginnings
Year: Book published in 2010
Notions: Set of 2 buttons, elastic for the ties and ankle
Time to Complete: 4-5 hours total
First Worn: I just mailed it to my niece – so has not been worn yet!
Wear Again? I hope so!
Total Price: $5 for notions, fabric was in my stack
The finished booties! I can’t wait to see what these darling little things look like on her tiny little feet!
