Name & Location: My name is Victoria and am in the process of finding somewhere new to live in the Puget Sound region. Let’s say I live in Seattle.
Blog: I’m not really a blogger. The only one I have made was a sort of cultural study on food I at at my gran’s.
How long have you been sewing: On and (mostly) off seven years
Why did you want to commit to The Sew Weekly Challenge: I miss sewing garments and can use some motivation. I have really enjoyed reading The Sew Weekly for the past year and some.
What do you love most about sewing garments: Having something to wear that no one else has and I can have the joy of saying I made myself.
What do you hate most about sewing garments: I have no set place to sew and really had setting up and packing everything away when I am done so I can use the table again. Also I hate sewing on the floor and using my knee to press the foot pedal.
What do you want to accomplish this year with regard to the challenge: Sew some dresses from vintage patterns for less than $15.
Your biggest non-sewing goal of 2012: Its still a sewing goal, but not related to the challenge- get into Seattle Central’s Apparel Design Program.
What are your favorite sewing/fashion blogs: Gertie’s New Blog for Better Sewing, Vixen Vintage, Sweetheart of the Rodeo, Coletterie, and of course The Sew Weekly

  1. Ooh, good dislike, having to pack up every time. I hope you get into the program!!!

  2. Love the corset! I sew on my dining room table and I just quit putting everything away. I just push it all to one end if I need to do something else. Good luck getting into the program!

  3. That is so awesome, I love it!
