The “Misses Pink” dress.
Name & Location: Rachel Pinheiro, London
How long have you been sewing: I started with a class once a week back in Sept 2009 . Soon after,in April 2010 I started following Sew Weekly and beginning of 2011 ,I join the Sewing Circle and made 26 fashionable garments!
Why did you want to commit to The Sew Weekly Challenge: Because the trill of a challenge and the possibility to create something not to literal to the theme but with a common thread that connects people around. Its a powerful thing !
What do you love most about sewing garments: I love the design process , deciding fabrics, the shape and imagining the final look.
What do you hate most about sewing garments: Finishing touches ( Hand sewing to be exact)
What do you want to accomplish this year with regard to the challenge: Consistence . That my garments will look all perfectly wearable , knowing when to give up speed for quality ,and to have by the end of the year many beautiful garments will not only were quick to make but have my signature style. ( Polished with a twist). Im going to work a lot smatter nor harder !
Your biggest non-sewing goal of 2012: Get fit.
What are your favorite sewing/fashion blogs:I love many blogs and that includes having a policy to follow anyone that follows me. ( Ps: If I missed you, let me know…)I want to know them as they take the time to know me. Naming a few blogs here I will be excluding amazing blogs out there in favor of the most famous ones but I will name the blog that started all for me: Sew weekly.
What are you wearing: I cannot tell you the joke for this dress name as HRH would be furious!
