The ” I Love this dress” Dress

How long have you been sewing: Started in home econ in the 7th grade and on and off ever since, but now REALLY on.
Why did you want to commit to The Sew Weekly Challenge: I wanted to challenge myself to step out of the “sewing box” as I tend to sew what is on the pattern and “steal” ideas from other sewists.
What do you love most about sewing garments: I love that I made it mine and that know one else has the exact same thing. Also that it is made of quilty fabric and not going to fall apart within a few years.
What do you hate most about sewing garments: Tracing and cutting out patterns. Button holes!!!!!
What do you want to accomplish this year with regard to the challenge: Again steping out of my “zone” and making cool clothes.
Your biggest non-sewing goal of 2012: Getting the last of the moving boxes unpacked. (We have been here two years)
What are your favorite sewing/fashion blogs: I read quite a few. Oonaballoona, Male pattern boldness, and of course The Sew Weekly
Your outfit is so cute, love the shoes too! And I agree about buttonholes.
Is that a dress or separates? I really like to piping details on the top.
