The “Earned My Stripes” Skirt

Name & Location: Beata, Melbourne

Blog: Tatulinka’s Tales (rarely updated recently, whoops!)

How long have you been sewing: Just about a year, on and off

Why did you want to commit to The Sew Weekly Challenge: I have been following along for ages now, and really wanted to get more involved! My most productive time last year, sewing-wise, was when I was participating in the challenges

What do you love most about sewing garments: Picking the fabric and notions to go with a pattern, tracing the pattern pieces, and wearing the result!

What do you hate most about sewing garments: Finishing the seams, and ironing!

What do you want to accomplish this year with regard to the challenge: I’d like to be pushed outside my sewing comfort zone – I have yet to sew anything with sleeves, a lining, or a crotch!

Your biggest non-sewing goal of 2012: Keep my house more organised

What are your favorite sewing/fashion blogs: The Sew Weekly, Sew Retro, Casey’s Elegant Musings, Gertie’s Blog for Better Sewing… and a whole bunch more!
