This was one of those projects that has been waiting to be made since I first started my blog. I had 3 metres of this Cherry Print Chiffon and it was destined for this shirt.
Unfortunately the chiffon was difficult to work with and the collar ended up much shorter. (The fabric slipped around on the cutting table.) This meant i had to cut a V neck into the center front instead of the rounded neck on the pattern, so that the collar didn’t look crazy short. Its a blousy kind of shirt and is definitely more casual than I had expected.
I definitely don’t hate this shirt! I like it but I think it would still be blousy if it was taken in just a bit more. Its definitely going to get some wear in the summer with some cute high waisted shorts!

I love the billowy pirate sleeves and the golden fabric suits your complexion beautifully.
Cute blouse! I love the fabric, and the colour works so well on you.
The fabric is great and the color is very warm on you – lovely! I say yes to pairing this with high-waisted shorts – perfect for summer!
Love this! You’ve made me realise I need to sew more blouses. Maybe now I can do buttons…
Looks great. Lovely fabric.
