How long have you been sewing: Coming to two years!

Why did you want to commit to The Sew Weekly Challenge: I want to challenge myself to continue doing something I love amidst school work. It was depressing not to sew for 12 weeks last semester.

What do you love most about sewing garments: I love the sense of satisfaction upon completing each project. I love being able to create a piece of garment from a piece of fabric. I love being able to sew what I like, what I want. I love wearing garments that fit me!

What do you hate most about sewing garments: Drafting! This is the stage where I have to figure out all the dimensions, measurements, where to cut, how much to cut in, how low is the neckline etc. I need to get everything right!

What do you want to accomplish this year with regard to the challenge: Neaten/perfect my sewing skills! I can draft my own basic patterns and am able to sew quite decently. The next bit to improve is on the finishings and such. I want to make my garments look good on both the inside AND outside!

Your biggest non-sewing goal of 2012: Shop less, save more!
