My “Make this Look” this week was based on the classic Diane Von Furstenburg wrap dress. They are so stylish and useful and I need things in my wardrobe that are easy to adjust as I shrink. This was some what of a wearable muslin as I have some fabulous Liberty Jersey waiting in the wings but I was not enamoured by this fabric and was reluctant to part with £8.99 per meter of it. However I took the advice of the lady in the shop and I’m glad I did. The fabric is pretty neutral for me and I think that it will make a good basis for other things! I love how it looks with Tiffany Blue!

Like the fabulous DVF dresses it did have a collar but it just didn’t work for this print, making it look a bit old fashioned. However this Kwik Sew pattern was perfect. The first of many! I cut a large but could have cut a size down. It fit pretty perfectly once it was fastened straight out of the envelope and It will definitely be a TNT pattern!

This is the dress I used as inspiration. Oh if only I could have found that print!
