G’Day Sewers and my “Dont’ Call me a Pansy” dress

Name & Location: Stacey, Goulburn Valley, Vic, Australia
Blog: http://thelittletaylor.blogspot.com/
How long have you been sewing: I made my first dress for my year 9 formal, in 1999!
Why did you want to commit to The Sew Weekly Challenge: I have a new job at a vintage / retro second hand shop. We have a lot of customers asking for rock n roll dresses, era -mostly 50′s and rockabilly dresses. So I need to sew for work, its the best!
What do you love most about sewing garments: Making something from nothing but fabric! That I can make it fit me (hard when you’re only 5 foot!)
What do you hate most about sewing garments: Zippers…cutting out the fabric…
What do you want to accomplish this year with regard to the challenge: I want to be able to reply to everyone that asks ‘Did you make that dress?” with a big Yes!
Your biggest non-sewing goal of 2012: Get out of debt…sorry fabric.com and jando.com!
What are your favorite sewing/fashion blogs: A Beautiful Mess, Oh Shoot, The Dainty Squid, Esme and the Laneway, Super Kawaii Mumma and The Sew Weekly!
