First Challenge of the Year

How long have you been sewing: On and off since I was 10 years old. Got serious the past 1 1/2years when I replace my old singer and also bought a serger machine.

Why did you commit to The Sew Weekly Challenge: Reading the Challenges last year motivated me to try new things and rekindle my love of sewing.

What did you love most about sewing garments: The satisfaction of creating a look to my taste.

What do you hate most about sewing garments: Getting stumped on following the pattern directions. Sometimes I find reading them out loud to myself helps.

What do you want to accomplish this year in regard to the challenge: Sew everything I need to add to my wardrobe.

Your biggest non-sewing goal of 2012: Get back into shape.

What are your favorite sewing/fashion blogs: SewWeekly, Gertie New Blog for Better Sewing, Elegant Musings, Sewaholic and Colette Snippets

    Thank you Amanda. It’s a great pattern for curvy women, the only adjustment I did was shirring across the bodice insert. The pattern has a full lining, which is perfect for hot summers.
