Mena Trott started The Sew Weekly to document her attempt to sew all of her own clothes in 2010. Since then, she's made over 125 outfits and has way more clothes than she needs.

I really loved: the color challenges (orange, purple, blue floral), the Ascot Challenge, and To Dye For – those were my favorites!
I loved the “cover me” one. I found it very creative and interesting.
I would love another round of “Cover Me”, “All Pinned Up”, and “Once Upon a Time” :-).
I really liked (but was unable at the time to participate in) “Kidding Around”, “Once Upon a Time”, and “Cover Me”. But there were tons of good ones
um, spanish harlem. DUH.
“kidding around” was amazing, and I loved the options available in “cover me” and “and the winner is” – the looking for ideas was just as much fun as the sewing! I did also like “pillow talk”, as the restriction made it such a challenge, but perhaps with something different next time like something already in your wardrobe or a curtain or fat quarters!
I really liked the movie themes (unrequited love and the hitchcock ones) and also the Oscars theme! And kidding around was really fun. The ones that I felt the most creative energy from were the ‘to dye for’ and the ‘Hitchcock’ themes.
The ones I liked best (for participating and also for seeing what everyone else had done) required inspiration from a film, book, music, local area, your childhood. I still don’t think I got away from literal interpretation but it was lots of fun to think about, to do and to follow. xx
I loved Once Upon A Time and the pin up challenge. I also would love to try the To Dye For challenge.
I’m so behind and am just seeing this post! This wasn’t an official challenge last year, but I would like to actually see you “Make This Look” to see how it turned out.
I loved The Common Thread Project too!
