“Chicago” both versions Broadway and film.
I LOVE musicals!!! Though, I have to confess that I’ve never really given much thought to copying the style in them for myself. But, I do love the style of Victor/Victoria (particularly the menswear) and anything with Fred Astaire in it.
I love the fashions in “My Fair Lady”!
And of course, “Moulin Rouge”–not a stage musical, but still a musical.
Anything Haley Mills (like Summer Magic), even Parent Trap which isn’t necessarily a musical. The Music Man (movie) and Singing in the Rain, Meet me in St. Louis.

Oh, how I wish my lifestyle allowed me to wear fashions from my favorite musical, Moulin Rouge! It’s my all time favorite film. I made (but have since grown out of) a simplified version of Catherine Zeta Jones’ black dress from the opening sequence of “Chicago”. And I have always wanted a T-Birds leather jacket from “Grease” ;)
Footlight Parade, Joan Blondell’s wardrobe was yummy!
