MTL: Bosc in the Glory Dress
Okay, I'm quite proud of this one. With these fabrics and pattern, you should be able to create pretty much an exact replica of the modcloth dress. And, since the reviews of the original dress mention that the fabric and quality seems a bit cheap, you should only be able to improve on this with dress with a nice quality cotton.
Original Inspiration
- Bosc in the Glory Dress from modcloth.com ($64.99)
Resources
- Fabric: Premium Broadcloth Yellow ($3.98/yd from fabric.com)
- Metro Market Pears White ($7.63/yd from fabric.com)
- Pattern: McCall's 6024
Tips
- Ruffles and sash are made from yellow broadcloth; dress body is made from pear print. Simple!
- Yellow not your color? Try a variation with this aqua pear fabric and this brown cotton fabric.

Neat!
Hmmm….that looks more like an apron–but it is a pretty one.
Wow, talk about identical. Great job in matching this one up!
Wow, spot on! I really have to start buying some of these MTL patterns….
I love the yellow one, but I may attempt making the aqua and brown version! What a fantastic dress…shame autumn is forcing the long sleeves so early this year…
