Definitely shibori dyeing: I wish I could find better resources on how to do it!
I’d love to try Shibori dyeing, too, but I’m also really interested in creating a painted fabric sample in a really abstract watercolor pattern and having it duplicated by Spoonflower.
Honestly, I’m totally afraid of working with fabric dye. However, I love the results of your creation this week Mena – enough that I may give it a go at some point. I’ve also been tempted by the Frilly Lilly dress under MTL.
I’ve been dying (no pun intended) to try ombre dyeing since I saw it on Michael’s webiste this summer. Seems easy and inexpensive to do. Just have to find the time and the right fabric.
Well one of my favorite skirts had a run in with some cleaning product a few days ago, so its pale blue is going to be overdyed ombre style on the top tier to cover the spots. sigh! I would have really preferred not to have this experience but we shall see. k.
