While this dress is billed as a "prom dress," its simple silhouette is actually quite appropriate for all those non-prom events in your life.

Tips

  • Use a combination of sleeveless view and bow.
  • Cut the ends of the bow shorter for a look closer to the original inspiration, tack the bow in place for a more perky look.

    Love this MTL! I especially like that you do not limit MTL to vintage patterns – even though the look you’re posting might have a vintage feel!

    This looks very like a ‘Pushing Daisies’ dress. You need to do some of those in the MTL category!

    I just ordered this pattern after seeing it here, I am not planning on making it in the yellow as yet, but you never know! I totally love the MTL posts and look forward to seeing them, especially as I love ModCloth but live in the UK and a fair few inspiration pictures are from there.
