7in7: Macaron Fabric Poll

And so it begins.

First up, Macaron. I'll be selecting the contrast fabric based on whatever fabric is chosen here. Plans call for the fabric up on top to be lightweight, either a dotted swiss or lace. Now vote! The poll will be "closed" once we hit 50 votes.

It looks like "Blue and Red Roses" is the winner. I was leaning toward the orange fabric, but I'm flexible. I also didn't think we'd reach 50 votes for one fabric this quickly. I think I'm going to have to increase it to 100 votes for the next match-up. Thanks everyone for voting!

  1. How exciting! A colette pattern’s dress a day! I’m voting for the orange floral fabric, think that will look great on a macaron.

  2. Mena, you are adventurous and brave! Good luck in this challenge!

Good luck Mena… I voted orange and pink too.. Cant wait to see what you do with it.. Will you be posting pictures each day too??? That sounds difficult.. We will be happy to see them..when ever you get them done.. Happy Sewing.

  4. I voted orange/pink — I think everyone does that dress in some version of blue (or at least a lot of the ones I’ve seen!) Good luck!

  5. I automatically gravitate towards the blue with red roses, but i think that dress will be great with the orange/pink fabric! best of luck–I’m so excited to see your results from this week!

  6. Oh I wasn’t quick enough.. but I was totally going to vote the blue and red anyway!

Same here but the blue and red wins for me anyway!

  8. Doh! I wasn’t quick enough either to vote. But I would have actually have gone for the orange fabric – it’s gorgeous! Ah well, I bet the blue and red will work really well with this pattern. What a mega challenge Mena – best of luck, you will be fab, no doubt!
