How long on Etsy: I opened my first Etsy shop in March 2008, so I have been around for 3 years. I have run my shop while living in 5 different cities since then. My husband does contract work so we move. Often!

How did you start making them? Selling on etsy?
I love to craft, but it can get expensive. I basically started selling some of what I make to fund my materials.

Who (or what) is an inspiration for your pincushions?
I sell a variety of items with a common theme: flowers. I love making flowers and they feature in just about every item I make. I made my first pincushion simply because I needed one and couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. Some of my pincushions are mini versions of the wedding ring pillows I make.

Any new projects you want to tackle?
I am experimenting with making dimensional flowers out of paper, leather and other fabrics besides wool felt. I have started making pillow covers. I want to improve my sewing skills and get to know my machines better. I want to design wood furniture for my husband to build. (Perhaps he will have his own Etsy shop one day…) The list goes on!

Thanks, Tina-Marie ! Be sure to visit her Etsy shop and check out her other pincushions for sale! Sew Weekly readers will receive 15% off their orders during the month of April by using the discount code: BLOG15 at checkout.
