Sears Sucker: 30 Spring (Floral) Dresses
With the change in the weather, I can truly get excited about Spring dresses, particularly floral prints. The Sears Catalog Archive on Ancestry.com (subscription required) truly captures the heyday of these dresses (1950s & 1960s), especially when it comes to full-skirted party frocks. Look for a Sew Weekly Spring challenge to correspond with a certain hat-wearing holiday coming up shortly! In the meantime, check out these 30 dresses for inspiration.

I love them all!
They are all so beautiful – how I would love to travel back in time just for a few days!! What hat wearing holiday do you guys have over there??
I love it when you post up all of these pictures. I don’t think sewing eye-candy gets better than this!
Thank you for sharing.
All those dresses are lovely!
Hats always mean Weddings and/or Easter to me…
No secret holiday! Just Easter. ;)
You’re welcome! I love these posts because I get to look through the catalog pages. :)
I love this series! I use ancestry.com a lot for work, but I didn’t realize they also had these images available.
Ah, yes, the Easter bonnet. I love it.
These are lovely.
Thanks for posting this!
It makes me want to delve into research and make my own vintage-inspired floral dress!
All of these lovely dresses – and outside it’s getting greyer and colder. At least they cheer me up.
Wonderful eye candy! And I love a good floral print. Even though I can only see a bit of it, I think I like that one in the top right the best!
