As part of 30 Days of Pincushions, Laurie has generously provided this pincushion for one Sew Weekly reader to win! Instructions on how to win it can be found at the bottom of this post.

Candlestick Name: Laurie
Shop name: Willow Creek Sparrow
Location: Dallas, Texas
How long on Etsy: Since April 2009

How did you start making them? Selling on etsy?
The what would be vintage material, I always imagine what it could become. All my friends either quilt or sew and I made pincushions for them. They said "you need to start selling these."

Your own favorite etsy purchase ever:
An old photograph of six teenagers from the 1920 sitting in a HUGE tree all decked out in their Sunday best.

Why do you craft?
I have always felt the need to create something, either from used items or trying my hand at a new craft project.

Thanks, Laurie! Be sure to visit her Etsy shop and check out her other pincushions for sale!

Want to win this pincushion? You just have to answer the following question:

Today's the last day of 30 Days of Pincushions! Which was your absolute favorite pincushion?

Each giveaway is open for twenty-four hours from the time of posting. Please only post one comment in each thread. Winners will be announced each Monday in April. Winners can only win once but are encouraged to answer all the questions!

  1. gosh wgat a difficult question! thet are all so lovely, but I did love the natural patchwork one, the pear one also springs to mind.

  2. Such an amazing variety of ideas and skill was certainly on show with the month of pincushions.
I think the Tiny Lovebird nest wins on pure sweetness for me but I also very much love the Vintage Hankie and Lovely Lilac. (Darn this was a hard choice!)

  3. La Pomme was my favorite. But those pears are a really close second. I just love the fruit created from fabrics. There is something so wonderful about natural things rendered in fabric.

  4. what a difficult question – they were all gorgeous in different ways. But I think the Mouse & Daisy appealed the most to me.

  5. So many great ones to choose from, thanks to all the Etsy owners who shared them with us!
I particularly love the Mouse and Daisy pincushion too. That little mouse is too cute.

  6. They were all lovely, but the little turtle pincushion was my favourite. Closely followed by the vintage hankie inspired pincushion.

  7. Yeah, the Mouse & Daisy was pretty fantastic. Although I do love this one actually!

  8. Lemon slice! I might just have to get one for myself if I don’t win one of the giveaway ones. :)

I’ve actually won my favourite thank you – the sweet skunk! Failing that, it’s got to be the crocheted turtle – so incredibly cute!

  10. the turtle was my favorite :)

  11. the crocheted skunk– but there were several that were close to it!

  12. My favorite is actually one in the family of mouse and daisy. she also has an adorable hedgehog in her shop that I’m keeping my eye on :)

  13. Close call between Hey Miemie’s wool felt flower pincushion and the mouse and daisy pincushion… but I think the mouse and daisy pincushion is my favourite!

  14. My very favorite was the squirrel, but this one is pretty in a totally different way.

  15. awwww…I can never choose….never ever…give me any..i’ll be on cloud nine
