  1. I’m torn between the mod quartet (polka dots and pleats!) and the green hued peaches at third row center. I think Peachy Green wins it. Love this inspiration!

  2. This post couldn’t be more timely — I’m just finishing up Simplicity 2444 in green with white polka dots! I’m rather fond of the one in the middle of the fifth row.

  3. Hey, it’s not easy [sewing] green :-D I agree with you, I don’t have that much green in my wardrobe or my stash, but I do love the color. I like the one with the bolero and the skirt number just above it!

  4. Such sweet inspiration! I would have such a difficult time choosing :)

  5. My favorite is the bottom row, far left.

  6. Thanks for sharing this little collection of inspiration! Green is my absolute favorite color, but I don’t have all that much of it to wear. I think my favorite dress here has got to be the middle one in the second-to-last row.

  7. Cool! I’m working on a green dress right now. Green is one of my favorite colors.

  8. Can I please make all of the above?
I adore green, but sometimes it’s quite bossy and demanding! Hope you settle on the bolero one! It’ll certainly suit you!

  9. Lovely, I have just completed a Rooibos dress in green with a touch of orange.

  10. They are all so lovely! Green is generally my colour, and a whole collection of them is just positively swoon-able!

  11. Third row far right. The dress with the full skirt and obi type belt. Now that’s a dress I could feel great in!!
I would make others… dare I say it? green with envy!

  12. I do love the green & polka dot dress – that could be the inspiration I was needing!! Although I am particularly in love with what I call “gum tree” green at the moment – just got to find the fabric!

  13. This is great, although I have no problem with green, it is my most favourite colour ever.

  14. Green is a tough color, it took me ages to find a color green that looked good on me, and even then I wear it only in moderation!

  15. Paolla Wanglon

That dress you mentioned, the white one with green flowers and the bolero, it reminds me of one of the dresses Doris Day wears in “The Man Who Knew Too Much”. I couldn’t find any pictures (and maybe I’m delusional), but I’m pretty sure they’re very much alike.

I have to say I LOVE green and have a fair amount in my closet. The trick is all greens are not made the same and you have to hit the right year for color.
