Me-Made-May
You may have already noticed the little graphic above the Weekly Creation image. If not, it's the link to my Me-Made-May posts. Me-Made-May is a challenge to wear clothing that you have crafted in some form during the month of May. While the level of participation varies, I'll be trying to don head-to-toe homemade apparel every day in May. The biggest challenge comes during the end of the month when I'm on vacation. Not only will I have to pack really really smartly, but I'll have to resist from buying things on the road to fill the gaps.*
* I'm the absolute worst suitcase-packer in the world. Seriously. I don't think I've ever gone on vacation and not had to go to a store to buy something I'm missing (underwear, socks, appropriate clothes for the climate, jackets, etc…). I don't know what it is, but whenever I pack I get temporary amnesia with regard to what I actually wear in real life.

I have found that the best way to make sure that you have everything for vacation is to make a list for everyday, and then a master list. The everyday list lets you plan your wardrobe for specials like fancy dinner and such, while the master list I use to repack everything at the end, to make sure that I didn’t forget anything. Include everything, not just clothes but toiletries, makeup, etc. Since doing this, I have found that I have: 1) cut down on the clutter going out and coming back; and 2) keeps me calm and unworried while packing.
