Me-Made-May: May 3
May 2, 2010
Here I'm wearing my "Hello, Sailor" Trousers and the shirt from my "That's a lot of Brown" Combo. That's Pen and her much-loved ballet teacher in the background.
I'm participating in the Me-Made-May challenge. That means that, during the month of May, I will endeavor to only wear clothing that I crafted myself.

Hello Mena,
your blog was featured in this month’s issue of Easy Living magazine. I love what you are doing and feel guilty that I don’t sew more myself. Last year’s output was 2 little dresses with matching panties for my baby granddaughters. You have inspired me to make more this year just as soon as I get the tension sorted out on my sewing machine.
I have a number of patterns dating back to the 70s when I sewed all the time for myself and my 2 older children which I did largely for economic reasons, ( we were broke). Nowadays I do it for pleasure but I’m rather rusty. Hopefully I’ll improve when I practise more.
Good luck withyour challenge- I will follow you with great interest.
P.S Your little daughter is gorgeous.
Best wishes, Meryl
