The Wiggle to Work Dress

IMG_8149I love this dress. Partly because it was made from a stretch fabric that allowed me to skip the zipper part of the dressmaking and partly because the fabric hid all the mistakes I made. Great pattern, as well. The belt buckle is vintage, though I can't recall where I picked it up.

It seems that this pattern is available for $4.99 on eBay. Size 32 bust.

The Facts

Fabric: Synthetic wool? from Darlene's.
Pattern: Simplicity 3836, circa 1963
First worn: October 2009
Wear again? Quite often. Wore in Vegas, work and on a day trip.

  1. Holy crap I love this dress! (And your site by the way – what a wonderful idea.) What are the details on this one?

  2. If you’re a size 32 bust, I’ve posted a link to the pattern for sale on eBay above.

  3. It’s very beautiful, what a lovely pattern! Your blog is very inspiring – I’m going to continue with my own similar goal when I finally get my own sewing machine, hopefully not too long to wait!
