The “Where’s my coke, Lester?” Dress

IMG_9673
For our tenth anniversary, we decided to spend one night in Vegas. Of course I wanted to use the opportunity of a night on the town to make something really special. I had picked up this Pucci-inspired fabric and wanted to do something that felt very Sharon Stone in Casino. The fabric — being Polyester knit — just hung way too heavily and I didn't like how it turned out. Although I brought it to Vegas, I ended up wearing something store-bought.

The Facts

Fabric: Polyester Knit from Darlene's Fabric in SF
Pattern: Vogue 7630 c. 1970
First worn: November 2009
Wear again? Probably not. I wore it to work after our anniversary and just felt totally uncomfortable.
